“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14)
A life lived with and for God requires much waiting (as we see in the Bible). God moves in His time, not ours’. We are impatient creatures—impatient and self-absorbed to the core. Sometimes we jump ahead of God and make decisions for ourselves. I’ve discovered the hard way that is when lives get messed-up. “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I put my trust.” (Psalm 130:5)
