I have a ring that’s cheap costume jewelry. I only paid around ten dollars for it. The ring itself is made of some kind of metal and the “jewel” is plain glass. The thing is, that tiny piece of glass has been cut so that it reflects the light, “sparks” flying from it so that it draws attention. Sometimes I feel like an uncut tiny piece of glass, but only when I view myself through the eyes of the world. God isn’t finished with me yet. He’s still shaping me so that I’ll sparkle and shine with His presence, reflecting His light. I’m not fake costume jewelry—I’m God’s diamond in the rough. “And all we are the work of Your hand.” (from Isaiah 64:8 NKJV)
