At different times in our lives we find ourselves facing “unknowns,” situations that hover before us as they attempt to cause us anxiety. We don’t know what the outcome of these situations will be, and that causes us to fret. Or maybe we’re trying to make a decision about something and find ourselves afraid of making a mistake. When I was young I craved excitement. Nobody bothered to tell me that a life lived in a relationship with Christ is the most exciting life one can live. I don’t know about you, but I want my faith to grow and grow. I don’t want to be the one sitting in the boat while the waves crash around me, clinging to the side until the boat slams against the rocks. I want to be the one who always climbs out of the boat and walks through the crashing waves with Jesus. That’s the only way to reach the shore. That’s the only way to reach the outcome of situations and it’s the only way to make right decisions. Take that, unknowns! I’m out of the boat and through the waves with Jesus!
