Postcards From God

What is it about sunsets and sunrises that cause people to grab their cameras? Every time someone goes on a vacation I tell them, “Get me a postcard of a sunrise or sunset.” Recently a co-worker brought me back a sunrise postcard from Myrtle Beach. I have it in my office so I can look at it and feel the calmness it shows. Sunrises and sunsets are “postcards from God.” What are your favorite postcards from God? A forest with sunlight filtering through the branches of the trees? Silver moonlight reflecting off smooth waters? Fresh, glittery, white snow reflecting the sun? Nature has many postcards from God. Look for them each day and praise God for the beauty of His creation.  “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” (Psalm 19:1 NIV)
