How many times a day do we think or say “if only” or “I wish?” How many times a day do we long for things we don’t have or wish we were doing things others are doing? Do we envy others? And why do we envy them? We have our Lord Jesus Christ—what else do we need? Jesus said to Martha in Luke 10:42, “but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” No matter what we do or don’t have in live, no matter what we gain or lose in life, our relationship with Jesus Christ cannot be taken away. Shouldn’t we focus on it, nourish it and cherish it? Oh, what a treasure!
Meditate on Matthew 6:21: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Let us ask ourselves: “Where is my heart?”
