The Difficult, Joyful Path

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to hear an unbeliever make comments about a believer such as, “He calls himself a Christian, but he sure doesn’t act like one.” We believers have chosen the difficult path instead of the easy one. We chose the difficult path because we love our Lord Jesus so much. Each day is a struggle to not be “conformed to this world,” to deliberately “set your hearts on things above.” There are days when we fall, when we ask God to forgive us. We know we’re in a daily spiritual battle, fighting hard with the armor of God and with Jesus leading the way. Yes, we call ourselves Christians. You know what the word “Christian” means? “Little Christ.” The path is difficult, but we walk it for Him.
