My Mind Is a Battlefield

war-1

Each day it’s too easy to become anxious, what with the hours still cut at work. Each day it’s too easy to worry about things that haven’t even happened, those “what if” things. Joyce Meyers is right—the mind truly is a battlefield. Each day I remind myself that God has always taken care of me, and He’ll continue to do so. Each day I deliberately put my trust in Him, struggling to lay aside the anxious thoughts, just as someone would struggle to kick an addiction. A daily battle. But it must be fought.

“My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
He replied, “Go your way, Daniel….” (Daniel 12:8-9 NIV)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27 NIV)
