Bitter Weeping

After Peter denied Jesus 3 times: “And he went outside and wept bitterly.” (Luke 22:62 NIV)

Do our sins cause our hearts to break? “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matt. 5:4 NIV) Our true contrition causes Jesus to comfort us. Why should we hold back on our repentance?  If our hearts are not breaking from our sins, we need to ask ourselves: “Why not?”
