Don’t Hide in the Baggage

“And the Lord said, ‘Yes, he has hidden himself among the baggage.'” (1 Samuel 10:22 NIV)

We should not hide ourselves in the baggage of our past sins and say, “Well, I did this and that and was a terrible person.”  When we accepted Christ as our Savior, we became a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). God forgave us of our sins which means the baggage stays in the past with that person who no longer exists. We can use our past to show God’s redeeming power, but we should not cling to it and use it as a crutch. Don’t hide in the baggage!
